Absolutely! Mixlab fully complies with USP <795> guidelines for non-sterile compounding and USP <797> for sterile compounding, which are nationally recognized standards for safety, quality and consistency in pharmacy compounding.

We use USP-grade chemicals, source all ingredients from FDA-registered facilities, and follow strict quality control procedures for every medication we prepare. Our goal is to not only meet, but exceed, USP standards, ensuring that every compounded medication is safe, effective, and precisely tailored to your animal’s needs.

To ensure compliance with USP <797> and product integrity, we perform the following tests every six months:

• High-risk media-fill testing

• Gloved fingertip sampling

• Post media-fill fingertip sampling

• Viable air sampling by an independent testing agency

• Smoke, leak, and ISO 5 classification certification on all laminar flow hoods by an independent testing agency

• Surface sampling and air quality testing for compounding areas, ante rooms, and cleanrooms by an independent testing agency

In addition, our compounding staff participates in regular proficiency testing to strengthen both their theoretical knowledge and practical skills. These rigorous procedures ensure every preparation meets the highest standards of quality, safety and consistency.
